Laura Joggerst is a patent engineer and legal practitioner at DTS. Her work focuses primarily on the following technical fields:

  • mechanical engineering
  • automotive engineering
  • general mechanics
  • IP prosecution in patent, trademark, and utility model law
  • appeals and opposition proceedings

Lawyer and patent engineer – a useful combination in patent law

Laura Joggerst studied law at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg. After completing the first state examination, she clerked in the patent department of an internationally operating mechanical engineering company in Freiburg.

Through this engagement, she entered the field of patent law. Due to her long-standing interest in technical subjects, she also studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt, graduating with a masters degree.

From 2016 to 2023, Laura Joggerst was a research associate at the chair of civil law and corporate law at the Technical University of Darmstadt. During that time, her research focused on issues relating to technology law and she took on teaching duties in commercial and corporate law.

Laura Joggerst has been with DTS in Munich since 2025
