Frederik is a patent attorney trainee at DTS with a technical focus on:

  • automotive
  • aviation
  • enegry
  • medical technology
  • with a special focus on component design, tool development, sensor implementation, data analysis and Industry 4.0

His work focuses on all proceedings relating to patents, utility models, and trademarks, as well as freedom-to-operate analyses and legal validity and infringement opinions.

After studying mechanical engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and the University of Newcastle, Frederik Wilhelm worked for over ten years as a development engineer at the Fraunhofer Institute for Casting, Composite and Processing Technology. At the same time, he earned his doctorate in fiber composites at the Technical University of Munich.

In cooperation with international industry partners, Frederik Wilhelm was able to acquire extensive knowledge of the product development process from concept to series production through industry-oriented research. The results of his research and development work were successfully patented and presented at international conferences and published in trade journals.
