Chris completed his studies in chemistry within the NAWI program at Graz University of Technology and the University of Graz. After five years of research at TU Dresden, he turned to intellectual property law.

In 2023, he was admitted as a patent attorney and as a European Trademark and Design Attorney; in 2024, he was admitted as a European Patent Attorney.
