Attor­ney-at-law (DE) Moritz-Mel­chior Blos­er joins DTS as Asso­ciate Part­ner in Munich as of July 1, 2023. With this hire, DTS fur­ther strength­ens its team of attor­neys and the firm’s patent lit­i­ga­tion prac­tice around part­ner Robert Schnekenbühl.

Moritz-Mel­chior Blos­er has been advis­ing nation­al and inter­na­tion­al clients on all patent law mat­ters for more than 10 years, spe­cial­iz­ing in par­tic­u­lar in com­plex patent lit­i­ga­tion before all ordi­nary courts.

After his admis­sion to the bar in 2012, he start­ed work­ing as an attor­ney in the patent lit­i­ga­tion prac­tice of an inter­na­tion­al law firm and from 2017 in the Munich office of a large patent law firm, most recent­ly as counsel.

His main focus advis­ing in patent law is on the fields of med­ical tech­nol­o­gy, mechan­i­cal engi­neer­ing, telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions and elec­tron­ics. This also includes advis­ing clients on cross-bor­der patent lit­i­ga­tion. In the fields of telecom­mu­ni­ca­tions and mobile com­mu­ni­ca­tions, he has exten­sive expe­ri­ence with stan­dard-essen­tial patents and relat­ed antitrust and unfair com­pe­ti­tion issues (FRAND). In addi­tion to his focus on patent infringe­ment mat­ters, includ­ing free­dom-to-oper­ate and infringe­ment opin­ions, Moritz-Mel­chior Blos­er also advis­es on con­trac­tu­al mat­ters, such as licens­ing agreements.
