With effect from April 1, 2023, DTS has appointed two of its team members, Mr. Florian Bewer and Mr. Markus Eustermann, as Associate Partners.
The new Associate Partners will further strengthen the firm’s future, both from a legal and a technical perspective.
Florian Bewer has worked as a lawyer for DTS since 2014. Subsequent to his studies at the LMU Munich and his legal internship at the Higher District Court Munich, he previously worked for other renowned law firms in Munich and Düsseldorf with a focus on intellectual property law since his admission in 2011.
In addition to his focus on patent infringement matters in extrajudicial and judicial proceedings, Florian Bewer has particular expertise in all contractual matters, such as R&D cooperation or licensing agreements, including the antitrust implications, in competition and trade secret law as well as in employee invention law. Florian Bewer has been handling complex proceedings before the Regional Courts, Higher District Courts and Arbitration Courts for many years now.
Markus Eustermann turned to the field of intellectual property after completing his Master’s degree in Medical Technology at the TU Munich in 2014. After his education for becoming a German Patent Attorney in an internationally recognized law firm in Munich, he was also able to gain extensive experience regarding the strategical enforcement of IP rights in the following years. He joined the team of DTS in July 2022.
Since then, Markus Eustermann has been involved in litigation disputes concerning patents, trademarks and designs, as well as in due diligence processes, inter partes contractual matters and the prosecution of IP rights.
